What is the Puppy Bowl?
The Puppy Bowl features rescue puppies in colored bandana "uniforms" (blue for Team Fluff, orange for Team Ruff) frolicking on a mock football field. Cameras are installed all over the playing area, including inside of the puppies' shared water bowl, and there is even a Puppy Cheer Squad. The ultimate goal isn't just to win the Puppy Bowl, but also to get these sweetie pies into their forever homes.
“In human football, they win a trophy; in puppy football they win the ultimate prize: a forever home,” official Puppy Bowl "Rufferee" Dan Schachner told Parade prior to the 2021 Puppy Bowl.
