See the Cast of 'Big Little Lies' Filming Season 2
Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Meryl Streep are hard at work filming Season 2 of Big Little Lies, and yesterday, paparazzi caught them shooting on location in Sausalito, California.
Photogs captured Witherspoon and Kidman in character as Madeline Martha Mackenzie and Celeste Wright, respectively, with each decked out in their alter egos' signature looks: a perky pink blouse and floral skirt for Madeline, her omnipresent bag permanently glued to the crook of her elbow; and a chic camel coat and cozy plaid scarf for Celeste.
Meanwhile, Streep sported a severe bob and trench coat as Mary Louise Wright, mother-in-law to Celeste.
Streep's Mary Louise, the mother of Celeste's abusive late husband Perry, promises to bring the drama when she arrives in Monterey, per HBO's description: "Concerned for the well-being of her grandchildren following her son Perry’s death, Mary Louise arrives in Monterey searching for answers." HBO released the first photo of the character last week.
But the most exciting announcement from the set of BLL comes by way of Witherspoon's most recent Instagram. She just posted a photo with the show's latest casting announcement, and frankly, it puts Streep's to shame:

"Introducing Jolly. He has the best hair of all the cast !!" Witherspoon wrote alongside a photo of herself and Kidman posting with a cheerful Samoyed. We can't wait to find out where his storyline is headed, which begs the question: Why isn't there an Emmy category for best pet performance? ]]>??
