See David Bowie's daughter Lexi's 'Daddy' tattoo
Wednesday marks the second anniversary of David Bowie’s death, and the women in his life haven’t forgotten him.
Iman has shared several posts in the past few days — his birthday would have been Monday — in honor of her late husband. But Wednesday’s was of a tattoo that their 17-year-old daughter, Alexandria “Lexi” Jones, apparently got in honor of the music legend. It’s a moon with flowers in it, along with the word “Daddy” and “xxx.” It also has the year Bowie was born and the year he died: “1947 – 2016.”
“You will always be part of me,” Iman wrote. “Jan 10th #LexiLove #BowieForever #ForeverAndEver.”

When Bowie appeared on Late Night With Conan O’Brien in 2002 — back when the teen was a 22-month-old toddler — the rock star proudly told a story about the first time Lexi recognized the moon.
“We have [a terrace] and we were out the other day. It was still light but you could see a half moon. She looked up and saw it — it was the first time she had seen the moon that it’s registered,” he said proudly.
“‘Moon! Moon!’” he recalled her saying. “And then she started crying, and then she started laughing, and then she dragged me into her room and we had to get all the books that had a moon in them, and then take them outside and hold them up to the sky [to compare them side by side],” he said, beaming.
Moon was also the title of a 2009 British sci-fi flick co-written and directed by Duncan Jones, Bowie’s son from his first marriage.
On Instagram, Iman also shared a photo of her own Bowie tattoo, which she got before he died of cancer. It’s a Bowie knife with “David” on the handle on her ankle. (The “Ziggy Stardust” singer, whose real name was David Jones, took the last name Bowie after the Bowie knife because, he said, “it cuts both ways.”)

Iman also posted a photo of her husband resting against her, writing, “My favorite love story is ours! #BowieForever #ForeverAndEver.”

Since Bowie died, Iman has shared little glimpses of their daughter, who has grown up out of the spotlight. In September, she posted a photo of the teen — rocking a nose ring — on her 17th birthday. She did the same thing a year earlier.
