Stars pulled out all the fashion stops for the 2023 ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards.
Celebrating the strides made by Black women in film and TV, the platform was created to spotlight "Black women in Hollywood who are owning their narratives and transforming the art of storytelling."
Several celebrities gathered for the 16th annual industry event, which was hosted at Fairmont Century Plaza on March 9 in Los Angeles, California.
Quinta Brunson, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Viola Davis, Storm Reid, Niecy Nash, Daniel Kaluuya and more stunned on the white carpet as they showed off their looks and posed for photos before heading into the venue.

Abbott Elementary creator Quinta Brunson popped against the black backdrop and contrasting white carpet in a magenta Greta Constantine dress with voluminous sleeves, paired with matching Dolce & Gabbana sandals.
Viola Davis channeled a disco vibe in silver sequin pants paired with all black.
The Last of Us actress Storm Reid sported an edgy leather cognac-colored Jonathan Simkhai dress with zipper embellishments, paired with animal-print sandals.
Sheryl Lee Ralph radiated in a burnt orange dress complete with a full skirt, accessorizing the look with a leather braided accent to cinch the waist along with black peep-toe pumps.
Black-ish and Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi brought neon colors to the carpet in a bright two-piece silk jogger set paired with brown pointed toe pumps.
NOPE star Daniel Kaluuya kept it classic in a navy satin-lapel suit worn over a fresh white tee.
Claws alum Niecy Nash went bold for the event, donning a stylish red and black Dolce & Gabbana pant suit.
Black Panther and Creed filmmaker Ryan Coogler stylishly chose an earth-tone color palette: a moss green blazer over a neutral greige tee, paired with charcoal grey slacks and multicolored sneakers.
