See What the NSYNC Band Members Look Like Then and Now
NSYNC has reunited several times since their 2002 disbandment, performing together at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and teaming up for a 2018 TV appearance promoting their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. None of these reunions, however, have given fans as much hope as the one that happened in September 2023, when they appeared on stage at the MTV VMAs to present the best pop video award. Even winner Taylor Swift was shook. “I had your dolls,” she told the group, ignoring her own victory. “Like, are you doing something? What’s going to happen now? ... They’re going to do something and I need to know what it is!”

Swift was correct, and within days the group confirmed they’d recorded a single for the Trolls Band Together soundtrack. New tour or album news, it was not, but fans were still pleased to hear “Better Place,” the first new *NSYNC song released in more than 20 years.
While NSYNC devotees are hoping more news is coming, Joey Fatone has advised everyone to be patient. “This is the first step, people, so we don’t know what’s gonna happen after,” he told Entertainment Tonight in October 2023. “It’s almost like I took you out on a date, we’re gonna hang out a little, we don’t know if we’re actually gonna go out for the next date or just get married and kick it, we don’t know yet. … Basically, the five of us got together, we had dinner. We haven’t slept with each other yet, but you never know.”

In June 2023, he played himself alongside *NSYNC bandmate Joey Fatone in an episode of How I Met Your Father.
Bass came out as gay in a 2006 cover story for People magazine. In 2014, he wed Michael Turchin; all of his *NSYNC bandmates except Timberlake were in attendance. Bass and Turchin welcomed twins—son Alexander and daughter Violet—in October 2021.
