This morning at Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth is throwing a reception in honor of the 50th anniversary of Prince Charles's investiture as the Prince of Wales. Charles's two sons, William and Harry, and their wives, Kate, and Meghan are in attendance at today's celebration, as are the Princess Royal and representatives from Charles's many Welsh patronages.
Per the BBC, the party will feature not only a speech from the Archbishop of Canterbury but also a display of the investiture regalia worn by Charles in 1969, and a performance by students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Notably, their program will include a new piece by Welsh composer Paul Mealor.
