See Savannah Guthrie Shake It Off as Taylor Swift for 'Today' Halloween Show
Savannah Guthrie
Savannah Guthrie and her fellow Today co-hosts turned the Halloween show into an enchanted concert experience, but Guthrie really gave the holiday her all, swapping her cardigan for a lookalike Taylor Swift tour ensemble.
The 51-year-old broadcaster took the stage wearing an emerald green cape that's nearly identical to the one Miss Americana wears when she's performing the Evermore era on tour.
As the music begins to play, Guthrie and her two backup dancers take centerstage, where Guthrie completes a quick change into Swift's iconic Lovers bodysuit.
Not only did Guthrie find two perfect replicas of the "Look What You Made Me Do" songstress' outfits, she even nailed a good portion of Swift's Eras tour choreography–earning herself the title of Ultimate Swiftie.
As the Today show's social team put it, "It’s a cruel summer with @savannahguthrie! ??."
The segment earned a round of applause on Instagram, as fans couldn't believe just how well Guthrie played the part of the 12-time Grammy winner.
"Damn Savannah!! Get it girl!! ??????," one cheered before a second added, "Savannah looked ??????."
"What in the Beyonce Giselle Taylor Swift Knowles Carter," someone else quipped.
"She nailed it!" another exclaimed.
A fourth even joked that Guthrie could be coming for the pop star's spot, noting, "Move over Taylor @savannahguthrie has entered the chat ??????."
Guthrie wasn't the only Today anchor to impress with her imitation Halloween costume, as this year's theme for the group appears to be music icons, with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager dressing as Sonny and Cher, Dylan Dreyer as Pink, Sheinelle Jones as Diana Ross, Willie Geist as Harry Styles, and Craig Melvin as MC Hammer.
Previous Halloween themes for the Today crew included Broadway, Las Vegas, and the '80s.
Pop icon Kelly Clarkson is also set to guest on the show, though it's unclear what her costume of choice will be. For The Kelly Clarkson Show, she rocked a sultry vampire look to perform Olivia Rodrigo's hit "Vampire."
