See Travis Kelce's Sweet Moment With a Make-a-Wish Recipient in Throwback Video

Myka Eilers, a teenager from California who met Travis Kelce as part of her Make-a-Wish trip in 2022, is looking back on the experience amid his viral influx of fame.
The teen and her mom, Angela Eilers, recently spoke with Today.com about the experience, even joking that she "basically met Taylor Swift" now that the tight end and the "Stay Stay Stay" singer are dating.
Myka, 14, was born with pulmonary valve stenosis, which the Mayo Clinic defines as "a narrowing of the valve between the lower right heart chamber and the lung arteries," which causes reduced blood flow. This can lead to difficulty breathing and fatigue.
As a result, she had two open-heart surgeries as an infant. The valve was so damaged they took it out altogether, meaning she may need a replacement one day. Her doctors told Angela that Myka would likely be limited in the athletics she could participate in, but she grew up in a "football house" and went on to play soccer and softball in addition to the family's favorite sport, playing quarterback on her flag football team.
"[It] has never held her back," Angela told the publication—especially when it came to playing ball with two of her favorite players or dreaming big of becoming the first female player in the NFL.
The former occurred in May of 2022, three years after her mom submitted a Make-A-Wish application for Myka as she struggled with debilitating migraines as a result of the heart valve disease. After her Disney cruise plans fell through due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she requested to meet Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes instead, ultimately getting to spend a day with the whole team.
In a video uploaded to YouTube by the charitable foundation, Mahomes can be seen teaching Myka a play as other members of the team look on. Following his direction, Myka throws the ball to Kelce, who catches it with a bright smile on his face before celebrating with one of his classic silly dances.
During another play, Mahomes tries his hand at defense as Myka takes his position, throwing the ball to Kelce again as the pro quarterback tries to block him.
The Chiefs proudly showed off her "cannon" of an arm in another shot of the impressive play.
Looking back on the moment, Angela described Kelce as "a jokester and a fun guy," while Myka said both men were “really nice and funny; just good people.”
By the end of the day, she also signed a one-day contract with the Chiefs, putting her one step closer to her dream.
