Selena Gomez Sees Red in Asymmetric Armani Privé Dress at the Golden Globes 2024

Selena Gomez brought the red trend into 2024 during the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. The “Only Murders in the Building” star wore a custom Armani Privé dress that featured an asymmetric hemline, bodice cutouts and sequined floral appliques.

Gomez added a pair of matching metallic pumps by Christian Louboutin and a suite of diamond jewelry from Bulgari. The actress was styled by Erin Walsh, who also dresses stars like Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba and Elizabeth Banks.

Makeup artist Melissa Murdick gave Gomez a brown smoky eye, soft pink blush and a mauve lip. Her dark brunette tresses, done by hairdresser Marissa Marino, were swept into a stylish updo. Celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik coated Gomez’s nails in black nail polish.

Rouge hues dominated the runway during the fall 2023 season, with labels like Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead ushering in a red renaissance.

Late last year Gomez was recognized by WWD’s sister publication, Beauty Inc, which presented her with the Pete Born Impact Award for her makeup brand, Rare Beauty.

“The most important thing from the beginning of creating this brand was to have a positive impact in the beauty space — to create a brand that would just allow you to embrace who you are, and not necessarily lead people to look a certain way in order to reach ‘perfection,’” Gomez said during the Beauty Inc Awards. “Creating the mental health impact fund through Rare — that, to me, is body, mind and soul.”
