Selena Gomez Steps Out With the Weeknd in $1,700 Vetements Black Booties

Selena Gomez is a veritable master of mixing high-end fashion brands with relaxed street-style staples. The stylish singer can rock an $8 top, crush in a simple $45 swimsuit, and model for Louis Vuitton, thank you very much. But in this instance, when we say “high-end,” we also mean high price tag. As in $1,700 a pair.

The reigning queen of Instagram has dominated headlines recently after she was spotted kissing singer the Weeknd, who just happens to be the ex-boyfriend of her friend Gigi Hadid‘s younger sister, Bella. (Did she break the girl code? That’s the subject of another post entirely.) Now, the singer has been spotted out and about with her new beau wearing relaxed ankle-length denim, a classic black wool coat, and sleek little black booties that we’d love to wear with just about everything. (They are the “it“ girl-approved shoe of the season, after all.)

But those beautiful boots aren’t just any pair of everyday footwear. Gomez completed her relaxed date-night look with none other than a pair of Vetements black booties. A $1,700 pair, to be specific. Because being casual doesn’t mean you can’t also be couture.

This isn’t the first time Gomez has sported the exclusive French brand that Kanye first made famous. The singer rocked their hunter green sweatpants touching down at a Tokyo airport last year during her Revival tour. And she’s not the only celebrity getting in on the couture-meets-casual action. Rihanna stepped out last week in a simple black hooded sweatshirt from the brand’s spring/summer 2016 collection that costs more than $1,000.
