Ralph Lauren is entering the wearable heat-tech space with one of the most technologically smart jackets around. Today marks the launch of two brand new styles designed with an integrated heating system you can control through their RL Heat mobile app.

The technology in the Polo 11 heated jacket (white pullover style) and Glacier down parkas (zip-up style that comes in navy and silver) was originally developed for Ralph Lauren’s 2018 winter Olympics team. However, it's now readily available for everyone who's looking to stay warm in the most frigid of temperatures.

Here's how it works: A slim Mophie battery pack is plugged into the jacket’s inside pocket, and works together with a heating component between the lining and fill to move warmth throughout the body. The battery, which delivers up to 11 hours of heat on a single charge, is controlled through the RL Heat app via a Bluetooth connection so you can decide how warm you want it to be.

While there are many self-heating jackets out there, these Ralph Lauren options are the ultimate style statement thanks to its timeless construction and utilitarian edge.

The Polo 11 and Glacier jackets are available now in select stores and on The Polo App.
