Selma Blair Just Got an Unusual Facial Injection for the Most Unexpected Reason
Usually when you think of facial injections, Botox Cosmetic or fillers come to mind. However, thats not all that can be injected into your face. In fact, if you’re Selma Blair, your choice of injection is neither one of those options. Instead, Blair recently opted for a steroid injection in her face, but not for the reason you think.

In a photo uploaded to Instagram, Blair shows herself sitting in a doctor’s office with something plugged up her nose. “Numbing nasal passages in order to get a steroid shot by sinuses," she captioned the picture. "I have been in chronic pain in left side of face for so long. Looking for relief. Fingers crossed. #valentinesideas"
While this may seem like the worst experience ever, it's actually not too uncommon (and it works!). According to Mayo Clinic, people typically get corticosteroid injections when they suffer from severe or chronic sinusitis, a condition when your nasal passages become inflamed and swollen for at least 12 weeks.
However, if you think you have chronic sinusitis, don't freak out about steroid injections just yet. Doctors have quite a few other options—sans needles—for people suffering from this condition. So, be sure to talk to your doctor if you're experiencing any symptoms similar to Selma Blair's.
