Serena Williams shares the inspiring lesson she learned from daughter Olympia
When your mom is a 23-time Grand Slam champion and one of the best athletes on the planet — not to mention a thriving fashion entrepreneur and philanthropist — you know you’re in store for some serious motivation. But it seems like Serena Williams‘s 10-month-old baby, Olympia Ohanian, already knows how to serve up her own pep talks.
On Thursday, Williams told fans about a sweet and inspiring moment she shared with her baby girl. While the new mom missed her daughter’s first steps because she was training for Wimbledon, she was there to witness her stumble — and then try again, and again.
Today I say Olympia fall… but she got back up. She fell again almost immediately…. and almost immediately she got back up again. She always had a smile on her face. I learned a lot from Olympia today. Thank you my baby love. pic.twitter.com/pn0iUCZG6Q

Sounds like Olympia has inherited the perseverance for which her famous mom — who last week made the Wimbledon final just months after giving birth — is renowned.
Williams — who just shared her childbirth advice with Yahoo Lifestyle — has already had her touching post get more than 45,000 likes from fans who also find a child’s fearlessness and determination inspiring.
She gets it from her mom!

I said the same thing when my daughter was learning to walk. She kept falling, not afraid, always getting back up. Imagine what we could do if we were not afraid to fall.

Funny: All the skills and pros in the world, and sometimes it’s a baby that gives the best coaching. Time to put that kid on the payroll!
