Serena Williams's Daughter, Alexis Olympia, Masked Up to Watch Her Mom Win at the U.S. Open
Serena Williams won her match against Sloane Stephens at the U.S. Open on Saturday in a stadium that, because of COVID-19, was mostly empty. But there were two very important fans there to cheer her on: Williams's husband, Alexis Ohanian, and their 3-year-old daughter, Olympia, were their own very robust fan section.
"I hope she saw her mama fighting," Williams told a reporter after her match. "I don't think she was paying attention. She may have been playing with some princesses upstairs."
Her father, Alexis, posted a video of someone bringing his daughter, who's wearing a mask below her chin, down to the tennis court.
Here's the toddler waving hello to her mother from the stands, and mouthing "mama":
He also posted this video of himself, masked up, watching his wife play:
Alexis Olympia is no stranger to the camera. She has her own Instagram account, where you can see her posing in a bright pink tutu and denim jacket with official U.S. Open credentials around her neck.
Here she is zoned in on her favorite tennis player:
As her mom referenced, Olympia does appear to have an obsession with princesses. Here she is in a Belle dress alongside a car with a license plate that, appropriately, says "Princess."
And here she is matching in a pink Aurora-like dress with her mom:
But it looks like Olympia's favorite outfit is one that matches her mom's. This kid is definitely at home on the court.
The audience at the Open might be slim this year, but it sure is adorable.
