Sex and the City 's Willie Garson Dead at 57
Willie Garson passed away today at age 57, People reports. The actor, who played Sex and the City's Stanford Blatch, was set to reprise his role in the show's reboot, And Just Like That ... He died after a short illness, People confirms, and was surrounded by his friends and family.
In addition to his role on SATC, Garson had roles on John from Cincinnati, White Collar, Whole Way Down, and Hawaii Five-O. Just last month, he was photographed on set with co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Mario Cantone, who played his on-screen husband, Anthony Marentino. Fans will remember that the two got married in Sex and the City 2.
"I couldn't have had a more brilliant TV partner. I'm devastated and just overwhelmed with Sadness," Cantone wrote on Instagram after the news of Garson's death. "Taken away from all of us way soon. You were a gift from the gods sweet Willie. Rest … I love you."

Garson's son, Nathen, also shared a tribute to his father on Instagram after his passing, saying that he was "the toughest and funniest and smartest person I've known."
"I love you so much papa. Rest In Peace and I'm so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much," Nathen wrote. "I'm so proud of you. I will always love you, but I think it's time for you to go on an adventure of your own."
His co-stars and friends also tweeted their condolences and shared memories of their time with him.
