'The shade!': Internet reacts to Hillary Clinton and AOC's Jared Kushner Twitter exchange
Hillary Clinton and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lit up Twitter Thursday night with an exchange calling out the hypocrisy in Trump administration officials using private accounts for work messages.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings revealed in a letter sent to the White House on Thursday that a lawyer for Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner told the committee last year that both the presidential advisers used private email accounts for official White House business, and Kushner also used WhatsApp. The lawyer couldn’t say whether the WhatsApp messages included classified information, according to the letter, but told Cummings that Kushner took screenshots of all government business conducted on the messaging app, including communications with foreign leaders.
White House lawyer Steven Groves told the New York Times that the White House would review Cummings’s letter and “provide a reasonable response in due course.”
Congressional Democrats wasted no time in pointing out the irony in the first daughter and her husband using private email and WhatsApp accounts for work after President Trump repeatedly said Hillary Clinton should be locked up for using a private email server for official work. Ocasio-Cortez evoked a common criticism of Clinton from 2016 in her response to the news about Kushner.
Tell me about it.

Fans of the two female Democratic politicians loved seeing them riff off each other on Twitter, calling them both experts at throwing shade.
This is so nice.

There were those who didn’t find the situation to be a laughing matter, though.
But he didn’t have ill intent, right? Amen? Sure hope he didn’t destroy his devices .

And Hillary was the Secretary of State! That’s a little higher security clearance.

In November, Ivanka Trump argued that her use of a private email account was totally different from Clinton’s because “everything has been preserved, everything has been archived.”
“My emails have not been deleted, nor was there anything of substance, nothing confidential, within them. There’s no connection between the two things,” she told ABC News.
