Shania Twain provided fans with a much-needed update following the "very scary scenario" that left over a dozen of her crew members needing medical attention.

"First and foremost my touring family are safe,” she wrote in a post shared to her Instagram Story on Thursday, Nov. 9. "Anyone needing medical care is receiving great support."

The since-expired message went on, "The local community and every single crew person has been phenomenal, in the face of a very scary scenario."

Twain concluded her statement with an important reminder to “hug and hold those you love," adding, "We are doing the same!"

As Parade reported earlier this week, the country-pop icon's tour bus was involved in a scary accident while driving between concert stops for the singer's Queen of Me tour in Canada on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

“One crew bus and one truck from the Shania Twain - Queen Of Me tour were involved in a highway accident driving between Winnipeg and Saskatoon," Twain's management company, Maverick Management, told People in a statement. "Multiple vehicles encountered dangerous driving conditions due to inclement weather. Members of the production crew who require medical attention have been taken to nearby hospitals."

A spokesperson for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said 13 people were injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the management company, Twain, 58, was not on the tour bus at the time of the incident and was subsequently not injured.

"We are incredibly thankful to the emergency services teams for their quick response and ongoing support," the statement went on, "We ask for patience as we look after our touring family.”

According to Twain's list of tour dates, before the scary crash, she and the band had last performed at the Canada Life Center in Winnipeg on Tuesday, Nov. 7, and the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" songstress was expected to hit the stage at the SaskTel Center in Saskatoon on Thursday, Nov. 9–which she did, despite the unfortunate circumstances.

Twain's next scheduled performance is tonight, Nov. 11, at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, followed by a string of performances in Edmonton and Vancouver. Then, in May 2024, she'll return to the U.S. for her seven-month-long Vegas residency.
