Shania Twain Wears Plunging Dress with a High Leg Slit for ACM Honors
Shania Twain may have been honored at this year's ACM Honors with a special tribute, and the outfit she showed up in deserves just as much commotion.
The Grammy-winning singer got gussied up for the big night and shared behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram with a caption that read, "What a great night! My heart is full from watching and hearing the tributes ?? Being acknowledged as a songwriter has always been my goal... thank you to the @acmawards for honoring me with the Poet's Award."
She continued by writing, "It's been a bumpy ride, I kept my chin up, developed a tough skin and got on with it!!"
The "You're Still the One" singer looked phenomenal, and you can bet if we would've seen this in real life, our jaw would immediately have fallen to the floor. At 57, Shania showed people how the queen of country pop does it in a black gown with a plunging neck and high leg slit to show off her fierce thigh-high boots and matching cheetah print cowboy hat. Consider this yet another fit from Shania's long career that you can file under "iconic."
When taking the stage to accept her award, Shania opted for a second glamorous moment in a floor length, zebra print gown.
And, just when we thought things couldn't get more fabulous at the ACM Honors awards show, Kelsea Ballerini showed up and showed out. As an artist that's grown close to Shania over the past few years, including a collaboration on her song "hole in the bottle," the 28-year-old star paid tribute to her role model in more ways than one.
Along with a musical tribute during the show, Kelsea wore this little number that was a blast to the past:
Recognize it? Yep, that's the same glittering gown that Shania wore to the 1999 Grammy Awards. If your jaw dropped, you aren't alone. Shania had nothing but positive things to say when asked about her reaction to seeing her iconic turtleneck dress being worn again after being on displayed at the Grammy Museum.
We can't wait to see Shania's tribute (that may or may not include Kelsea Ballerini re-creating the video for "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!") when ACM Honors airs September 13 at 7PM on Fox.
