Shauna Sexton Claps Back at Claim She Caused Ben Affleck’s Return to Rehab: "Ben Is a Grown A** Man"
Shauna Sexton is absolutely not here for critics who think she is somehow responsible for Ben Affleck's recent return in rehab-and she's clapping back. Which, fair enough-since when is it okay to hold a woman responsible for her kinda-sorta-boyfriend's life decisions? Say it with me: NEVER.
Said clapback went down over on Instagram (where else?), after people started trolling Shauna for posing with a glass of red wine.
"Never drank around or with him for the record," Shauna said in one response, adding "Don't pollute your brain with tabloid and media bullshit."
She also talked about drinking too much on her 21st birthday, saying "do these mistakes define me? No, stupid minuscule shit I learned from. Do these mistakes mean that I am human? Yes. Do these mistakes mean I would disrespect someone's hard-earned sobriety by drinking with them or in front of them? Hell no. I have limitless respect [for] people who have the humility and maturity to admit when they need to fix something in their life. I have even more respect for those who take action and actually do something about it. "
Regarding Ben specifically, Shauna said "Ben is a grown ass man, baby. He makes his own decisions. Blaming a 22 year old for someone’s 3rd time in rehab is just ridiculous. He is human. I am human. You are human. We all are going to fuck up it’s just a matter of learning from it. Don’t be so quick to throw shade on people. Take a step back, accept that we are all on our own journey, and be a little less critical."
