Season 2 of Love Is Blind premiered on Netflix earlier this month, and to say it’s been a whirlwind of events would be an understatement.

The first few episodes were seemingly hopeful for the new cast. Unfortunately, that didn’t last for some couples following the release of the second half of the season.

While there’s plenty of drama on the show, one couple in particular that stood out was Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen. Here’s everything to know about season 2 and the It Couple that had everyone talking.

Warning: Major Love Is Blind spoilers ahead! Stop reading here if you don't want to know what happens in season 2.

The show is an experiment aimed at determining whether love really is blind.

This show is supposed to test the age-old question, “Is love blind?”

Singles enter “pods” (that really just look like rooms with dividers, tbh) and are given a chance to chat with other potential partners. Thing is, they can’t see each other, so they are forced to evaluate whether or not to get married based on conversation and emotional connection. If it sounds bananas that’s because it IS. It is endlessly fascinating and a show worthy of a good binge if I do say so myself.

They get married without seeing each other!?

Not exactly. Participants can finally see each other in the flesh after they get engaged. Then all of the couples are whisked off to Mexico for some QT, and that’s where things really start popping off.

Who are Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen?

Natalie and Shayne have proven to be one of season 2’s more controversial couples. By the end of the first half of the season, Twitter users were posting that they would cancel their Netflix account if these two crazy kids stay together. Le gasp!

What happens to them on the show?

So, while in the pods, Shayne is torn between Natalie, a 29-year-old consulting manager, and Shaina, a 31-year-old freelance hairstylist. He eventually picks Natalie and tells Shaina she missed her chance because she didn't profess her love for him fast enough. (Shayne and Shaina—a missed wedding hashtag opportunity for sureeee).

When Shayne and Natalie hit Mexico, alongside Shaina and her new pick, Kyle Abrams—Can you say LOVE TRIANGLE!?—one can only hope it gets as messy as the old Barnett-Jessica-Amber triad of season 1.

Once in the ~paradise~ of this reality set in Mexico, things seem to go a bit downhill. First, Natalie and Shayne come to realize they both normally sleep on the same side of the bed (seems like a small compromise, but OK!). Natalie then says Shayne’s nighttime snacking and TV watching in bed is her “worst nightmare,” according to Bustle.

And he counters that Natalie's lack of affection is a big problem for him, arguing that she doesn’t give their relationship enough credit.

“I just show my love differently. I think you have such high expectations,” Natalie said. “I’m not about PDA. I’m not gonna always be, like, super affectionate with you.” Things end on a low note for these two when Shayne storms off halfway through the season.

When they all meet up for the first time as a group, almost everyone says Shayne and Natalie have the most staying power—they've got this kind of opposites attract thing going for them.

But Shaina may have done some meddling...

In an exclusive with Entertainment Tonight, Natalie said that after getting back from Mexico, Shaina said she had a friend in mind for her if the relationship with Shayne didn’t work out. At the time, Natalie found the comment to be strange, she didn’t think anything of it.

A pre-wedding fight influences Natalie's decision to walk away at the alter.

The night before their wedding, Shayne and Natalie got into a pretty heated argument. Natalie revealed that during the fight, Shayne told her that he "hated" her and that she was "the worst thing" to happen to him, per ET. Shayne apologized afterward, and the two agreed to move forward with their marriage.

But after taking more time to think it over, Natalie decided she ultimately didn’t want to marry him. Natalie left the altar in tears, and Shayne had already said, “I do,” leaving many fans in shock. In hindsight, Natalie says she feels like she made the right decision, especially after rewatching the show.

So are they still together?

Based on how the show ended, it's be safe to say that these two are no longer together. When talking to ET about how it felt to see her relationship play out on TV, she described it as "really hard" to see "knowing the outcome of it."

Their Instagrams also hint at the split. Unlike some of the other couples (and we’ll get to them), Shayne and Natalie do not appear to follow each other on the ‘gram. To make matters worse...guess who Shayne does follow? SHAINA!

A previous investigation by The Dipp shows that Shaina has been liking Shayne’s posts quite a bit, even as far back as 2018.

When Shaina posted the trailer for Love Is Blind, which she's since deleted, Shayne commented a zipped mouth emoji. She responded: ??.

Meanwhile, Natalie has been traveling in Hawaii posting glamor shots aplenty. See:

Stay tuned for updates as more details come to the surface. The Love is Blind reunion is set for March 4th on Netflix.
