If you’re like me and get (severely and low-key obsessively) invested in fictional relationships, then you’ve come to the right place!! You can probs also agree that—while there have been a LOT of memorable love stories in book and movies—few fictional romances are as wild and unpredictable as TV romances. The more seasons a show gets, the more drama an onscreen couple tends to face, 'cause those TV networks have to keep our attention somehow, right? But the best TV couples always manage to face all those stressors and scandals and come out stronger on the other side, and TBH, they really deserve more credit.
Despite what some TV couples may lead you to believe, true lurveee doesn't always include explosive fights and ridiculously elaborate grand gestures. TBH, some of the most dramatic romances in TV history are also some of the most toxic relationships. (Hi, Chuck and Blair? Yeah, we're talking about you.) The TV duos actually deserving of their own celeb couple portmanteaus are the ones who stay together for better or for worse—not the ones who ditch each other at the alter.
