The Duchess of Cambridge is never one to turn down a little friendly competition.
During Kate and Prince William's visit to Wolverhampton today, the pair played ping pong and shot bows and arrows, all while visiting with youth-focused organizations for Mental Health Awareness week. This week is the UK’s national moment to support mental health initiatives, hosted each year by the Mental Health Foundation.
For the day's outing, Kate sported a Tory Burch polka dot top with a scalloped collar, a navy tailored coat, and flare jeans. She paired the look with pearl earrings from British brand Freya Rose.
The first of the Duke and Duchess's three engagements was at the Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone, which works to give children and teens a place to find mentors and participate in activities, like gardening, art, and, yes, ping pong and archery. The royal couple tried their hands at these projects and spoke with some of the kids involved in the organization.
The pair's next stop was Base25, which works with roughly 9,000 young people and their families each year and offers services like counseling and community support. During their visit, the Duke and Duchess spoke with young people involved in the charity and heard about the group's impact in the past year.
Finally, Will and Kate met some furry friends at HugglePets, an organization that uses Animal Assisted Therapy to help children with special educational needs or those experiencing mental health challenges. The royal couple joined a group session with local school children and then continued the outing's animal theme by visiting the organization's aquarium.
