Shop the spring makeup must-haves beauty influencer Paula Galindo swears by
Colombian beauty influencer Paula Galindo, better known as “PauTips” on social media, has taken the internet by storm, amassing over 7 million followers on Instagram.
“I started my career, like, seven years ago, when I graduated from high school and I didn’t know what to do with my life,” she tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “I started watching a lot of YouTube videos, but they were all made by Americans.”
Seeing a gap in the Spanish-speaking beauty vlogger community, Galindo decided to create videos herself and became an instant hit. “It started [out as] a game for me,” she explains. She says she was one of the first vloggers to share beauty content in Spanish, back in May of 2012.
Today, she’s a top beauty influencer with almost 9 million YouTube subscribers, and a growing Instagram following.

“Being a Colombian in this industry is actually something that makes me really proud, because I’m bringing a little bit of my country to the United States,” she says. “It was the will and the dreams that I had inside that moved me to work towards what I am doing now.”
The beauty maven is also sharing her favorite spring makeup tips.
Tip #1: Eyebrows
Shop it: Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil Ultra Fine Shape & Define $24, sephora.com
Galindo says, “I use two pencils.” She defines her natural shape using Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil Ultra Fine Shape & Define ($24) to fill in the sparse areas. Then, she brushes her arches, “so that it looks more natural,” with the other end of the brow pencil.
To finish her brow look, Galindo uses the brand’s High Brow Glow Luminous Highlight & Lift Pencil ($22). “It’s like a concealer,” she explains. “I define and outline my eyebrows… and then with a brush I just blend it into my skin and it looks natural, and then at the end to set it all I use a clear brow gel.”
Tip #2: A natural glow
Shop it: Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray, $32, sephora.com
“For this, I am going to use a palette of highlighters and also a facial spray.” The beauty maven preps skin with Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray ($32) and layers the powder highlighter on the high points of her cheekbones. “When you mix these two textures, powder and liquid, [the look] becomes really natural and you get this glow.”
Tip #3: Rosy glow for cheek and lips
Shop it: Benefit Posietint Cheek & Lip Stain, $30, sephora.com
Galindo recommends using creams and liquid tints to achieve a rosy flush on cheeks and lips. She suggests using your fingers to apply cream blush on the cheeks. “Because it’s a cream texture, it’s going to last all day long on your cheeks,” she explains. “If you want to set it, just use a little bit of powder blush.”
She finishes her look using Benefit Posietint Cheek & Lip Stain ($30) on her lips. “They look like a nail polish but they’re actually for your lips and your cheeks,” she says. “I’m going to put a little bit on the center [of my lips] and blend outwards …and top it off with lip balm or Vaseline.”
