Shoppers Are 'Obsessed' with Aldi's New Limited-Edition Cheeses

There’s a lot to obsess over around the holidays, and for good reason. Everything is sweeter, spicier, more…festive. Of course, that means fan-favorite treats and delicacies get a jolly overhaul, and the familiar becomes even more drool-worthy. Whether it’s flavored like gingerbread or shaped like a Christmas tree, there’s something exciting about adding a little holiday flare to our usual tablescape mainstays.
One of our go-to locales for seasonal fare is none other than German-based supermarket chain Aldi. The grocer, famed for its incredible Aldi Finds, has continued to gift us with goodies perfect to celebrate with this season.

From spiced cookie chocolate bars to mini waffle makers, there’s nothing Saint Nick hasn’t touched at the retailer, and its latest cheesy find is no exception. Instagrammer @aldi.mademedoit discovered a quartet of adorable holiday-themed cheddar cheeses and shared their find on Instagram, much to the delight of fromage fans everywhere.

The cheeses are wrapped in a vibrant wax outer coating and each is shaped like a different holiday themed object. Flavor wise, the cheeses are all in the cheddar family with additional flavorings to add a little more pizazz to your carefully curated charcuterie board.
There’s an adorable red Christmas sweater flavored with cracked black pepper, a smiley snowman (named Frosty) flavored with caramelized onion, a green Christmas tree flavored with whiskey and a black mature aged cheddar star.

It didn’t take long for fans to take notice of the impossibly cute cheeses and shoppers are saying they’re “obsessed.” One user chose a favorite and said, “The whiskey cheddar is so good!” Another shared that they, “Love these as gifts!”
Of course, you could just choose one cheese, but they’re so adorable, you may as well follow the fan account’s lead and grab them all.
While each cheese has its own flavor profile, the possibilities for use are endless. You can put them out with your cheese board, give them as gifts or even use them to cook with. However you choose to use these adorable cheeses (and we won’t judge you for just snacking on them), you’ll want to act fast and grab them before they’re gone for the season.
