Sia Says Shia LaBeouf "Conned" Her Into an "Adulterous Relationship" Amid FKA twigs Lawsuit

Shia LaBeouf Officially Charged With Battery and Petty Theft

The charges stem from an altercation that happened three months ago.

A day after FKA twigs filed a lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf for sexual battery, assault, and emotional abuse, Sia is speaking out about her own negative experience with the actor, warning other women to "stay away."

Tweeting her support for Twigs, the Australian singer wrote: "I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single. I believe he's very sick and have compassion for him AND his victims." She added, "Just know, if you love yourself — stay safe, stay away."

In a separate message, Sia revealed she's "proud" of Twigs for sharing her story.

While Sia didn't go into detail about her relationship with Shia, the pair professionally collaborated back in 2015 for her "Elastic Heart" music video when the Honey Boy star was dating actress Mia Goth. LaBeouf met Goth in 2012, and they married four years later before splitting up in 2018. Shortly after going their separate ways, Shia began seeing FKA twigs.

In Twigs's lawsuit, she accused LaBeouf of "relentless" abuse during their year-long relationship, describing several instances of domestic violence in the documents. "What I went through with Shia was the worst thing I've ever been through in the whole of my life," she said in an interview with The New York Times.

"I don't think people would ever think that it would happen to me. But I think that's the thing. It can happen to anybody."
