Sienna Miller's Golden Globes Dress Looks at Lot Like One J.Lo Wore Back in 1998
Sometimes, dresses are so good, they pop up on the red carpet more than once, either with a true re-wear or a small, subtle reference. So, if you're wondering why Sienna Miller's Golden Globes 2020 gown looks so darn familiar? Well, it's because Jennifer Lopez wore something similar, back in 1998.
Admittedly, we didn't realize this on our own. Miller's stylist, Kate Young, told us she had gotten that vibe shortly after spotting the multi-colored Gucci piece.
"It reminds me of when JLo went [to the Golden Globes] in the ‘90s," she told us over the phone. "It wasn’t the inspiration for it at all, but it’s one of my favorite Golden Globes looks of all time, so I was like ‘Ooh, it’s giving me the vibe of that!’ So, that’s what excites me about that one."
Looking back at Lopez's one-shoulder design, we definitely see what Young means.

A big part of what makes the two dresses so similar is what initially drew Young to Miller's looks.
"It’s really pale and it’s a really fun dress," she said abou the piece, which was styled with Forevermark jewelry. "It's not like anything I’ve ever seen before — it’s classic Gucci style. It has a really weird color combination."
Fingers someone else shows up wearing something similar two decades from now.
