Amanda Crew, a.k.a. Silicon Valley‘s Monica Hall, might be up on the Emmys stage tonight accepting an award for Outstanding Comedy Series. It’s fitting that to celebrate, she ditched her character’s business-formal SoCal attire and went full red carpet glam.

In place of her usual long wavy locks, Crew opted for a chic, slicked-back bun and a sheer Michael Cinco gown. The demurely sexy dress has long sleeves and a floor-trailing hem, with unexpected ombre-style beading that brightens from silver to yellow. She complemented the look with a standout cat eye, uber-arched brows, and a nude lip.

Fans are torn about Crew’s unexpected fashion choices. “She’s apparently running late for her performance at the Ice Capades,” wrote Denise Yoo Gee on Twitter. For @SinnamonS, on the other hand, “This dress is LIFE!!!!”

Others are too busy admiring her eyeliner to care either way.

While the internet can debate a red carpet look for days, one thing is for sure — perfectly winged eyeliner is undeniable.
