Simone effortlessly stuck the landing after flipping over the vault, leaving Nellie in tears. Simone Biles won her 9th all-around U.S. Championship title

Simone won her ninth U.S. Championships, setting yet another record, and with it secured herself a spot in the Olympic Trials thanks to her top spot finishes in all four gymnastics events – beam, floor, vault and uneven bars.

Simone’s Olympic Trial performance will take place from June 27 to June 30 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and fans are ready for more show-stopping routines. Hopefully, we’ll also be blessed with more Mama Biles content at future events!

Who is Nellie Biles?

Nellie is definitely one of the gymnast’s biggest fans. She and her husband, Ronald Biles, adopted Simone and her younger sister, Adria, when she was six years old, and they’ve only missed one competition throughout her entire career.

Not only does Nellie come to every event, but she and Ronald are also the owners of World Champion Center, the gym where Simone trained with her longtime coach in preparation for multiple Olympic Games.

Simone often mentions her parents’ support in Instagram posts and interviews and credits them with helping her get to where she is today.

What has Nellie Biles said about Simone Biles’ gymnastics career?

Nellie has been supportive of her daughter’s career for many years. The 27-year-old started the sport at age six and, “It was history from there," Nellie told PEOPLE in 2016. "She never missed a practice. Even if she was sick, I would tell her she should stay home, and she would say 'No, I have to go to practice!'"

In an Instagram post from May 19, Nellie shared a picture of Simone after she’d just won the champion title for the all-around floor at the Core Hydration classic with the caption, “SOOO Proud of you Simone.”

While she posts about Simone frequently, Nellie also ensures her daughter knows where she’ll be at events and competitions. “She always knows where we are sitting, it doesn't matter the arena. If she's in a competition, she'll look and I'll wave and we make a connection," Nellie told PEOPLE before the Tokyo Games in 2021.
