This Simple TikTok Hack Will Ensure Your Food Never Drips On The Counter Again

From House Beautiful

The worst part about cooking is the mess you make in the process–especially when it involves the transfer of liquid in bowls. One TikToker recently discovered an easy way to avoid dripping food on your counter, and it just requires...flipping the bowl in the opposite direction.

TikToker @andrew_gatt recently shared the hack while making eggs. After pouring eggs he'd cracking into a bowl into a pan, the TikToker simply turned the bowl in the direction it was poured instead of lifting it straight up. Any food that was going to drip along the side of the bowl fell back into it, leaving no extra mess. The caption on the video reads: “How old were you when you learned this life hack?” Today-years-old was the answer for most.

People in the comments are basically split two ways: those who are in awe of how this hack never dawned on them and the haters those who are like “just put it in the sink.” Many praise the hack, because you can set the bowl down quicker than moving it to the sink. You can tend to your meal in a faster and cleaner fashion. Someone wrote that they use paper towels, but this hack is a great way to avoid wasting those. Others shared that they use a spatula to make sure no food drips. To each her own, but this hack isn’t half-bad and seems to require the least amount of effort. And if you already do this, you genius you, why have you not shared this valuable info with the class?
