Sink Your Teeth Into Some Nostalgia! Everything to Know About 'Teen Wolf: The Movie'
'Teen Wolf: The Movie' promises to be everything fans want.
Teen Wolf: The Movie promises to be everything fans want.
Creator Jeff Davis previously said of the film, "The first cut was three hours long. Part of that is you have so many characters to service. By the end of writing the movie, I kind of realized, 'Oh my God. This is basically season seven all in one movie.'"
"We packed a lot into this movie," he said. "It was trying to give the fans big moments, tear-jerking moments and funny moments, while giving them throwbacks to what the show was, but also a few new things like Vince Mattis, who plays Eli, Derek Hale’s son."
Yep, you read that right: Derek Hale is a dad! Find out everything to know about Teen Wolf: The Movie, including the cast (including some major surprising returns), release date and more.

Who is in the Teen Wolf: The Movie cast?
The Teen Wolf: The Movie cast includes:
Tyler Posey as Scott McCall
When Teen Wolf: The Movie picks up, Tyler Posey's Scott McCall is a full-on adult wolf in his 30s, and his character takes a step back from trying to be a hero.
"Putting down that [hero] role, he’s lost himself a little bit. The first time we see Scott, it’s the first time we see him do stuff as a normal person, ever since the pilot. It’s pretty intense to see Scott doing the mundane, normal life," Posey revealed at New York Comic Con in 2022.
"He’s also lonely because he’s missing something in his life, he’s missing the hero role, he’s missing friends, he’s missing Beacon Hills [and] he’s missing family. So we see Scott as a sort of troubled adult, depressed, kind of dealing with loneliness for the first time and it’s really special and powerful and impactful," Posey added. "I think a lot of us can relate because last time the show was out everyone grew up with it and now we’re all legitimately adults."
Crystal Reed as Allison Argent
Crystal Reed reprises her role as werewolf hunter Allison Argent. Her presence came as a shock to fans, because (spoiler alert!) her character dies in Season 3 of the series.
Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis explained that Allison's return is behind the rest of the characters' return to Beacon Hills.
"What brings them back is incited by Chris Argent, who has been having these mysterious visions and dreams of his daughter, Allison. There’s the idea that his daughter might never have actually crossed over when she died," Davis told SFX Magazine. "He finds out that Scott is experiencing the same thing, too. Scott has been seeing her in his mind, in his dreams, and thinking, 'Are these memories or is this something real?' And they keep becoming more and more real to him."
Holland Roden as Lydia Martin
Holland Roden returns as Lydia Martin. Since the Teen Wolf series run ended, Roden has launched a Teen Wolf rewatch podcast with a genius title: Howler Back Now With Holland Roden.
Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale
Tyler Hoechlin is back as Derek Hale. He left the Teen Wolf series after Season 4. His character can transform completely into wolf form as of the end of Season 4. In Teen Wolf: The Movie, he has a son named Eli.

Is Dylan O'Brien in Teen Wolf: The Movie?
Dylan O'Brien sadly won't reprise his role as fan-favorite Stiles Stilinski, but there's no bad blood between him and the Teen Wolf cast, crew or creators—his schedule simply didn't align with the making of the movie.
