'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' Reunion Photo Showcases Timeless Friendship
Cast members from "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" actresses Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel arrive at the 18th Annual Kids Choice Awards at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion on April 2, 2005, in Westwood, Calif.
In 2005, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants introduced viewers to an iconic friend group inspired by a book series of the same. Nearly 20 years later, Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel came together for an epic reunion showcasing their timeless friendship.
On Friday, Dec. 15, Lively, Bledel and Tamblyn attended a SAG-AFTRA Foundation panel for Barbie to support Ferrera, who spoke at the event. Ferrera plays a Mattel employee named Gloria, who befriends Barbie and helps her save Barbieland.
"??The Sisterhood came through all in pink to celebrate my performance in Barbie last night," Ferrera captioned an Instagram video of the actresses posing together at the event. "I love these women with all my heart.??#SisterhoodForever ???????? ????"

Meanwhile, Tamblyn posted photos from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reunion. In a touching recap from the Barbie event, the actress offered details about their lasting friendship.
"We got ready together, picked out outfits and jewelry and handbags together (aka raided Blake’s closet), ate dinners together, and drove together to celebrate our favorite sister, @americaferrera and her brilliant performance in Barbie," Tamblyn wrote alongside a carousel of photos. "I’m so proud of our girl in such a profoundly deep way, and the path she’s blazing for herself, and women everywhere."
She continued: "What a joy to come together in this way, in each other’s arms—the arms we’ve held, and linked with, and cradled as friends for 20 years—in honor of a woman who continues to take my breath away with everything she does, and is. When I tell you some things are forever, this right here is it."

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a coming-of-age story centered on a friend group embarking on a summer apart—but connected by letters and a pair of jeans that somehow fit them all. In 2008, the actresses returned for a sequel—but although there are four books, written by Ann Brashares in the series, the last two movies were never made.
Through the years, the actresses have expressed an interest in working together again, but as of writing, there is not a third movie in the works. Here's to hoping!
