The New Size-Inclusive Bra Campaign From Victoria's Secret Stopped Us In Our Tracks

Victoria's Secret wants to get back in your good graces again. It goes without saying that the once-popular lingerie retailer suffered major consumer backlash a few seasons ago for their lack of diversity and unrealistic standards of beauty (that runway show is now a thing of the past, and the brand has also done away with Angels entirely) — but one glance at its bold, new Bare Infinity Flex Collection campaign imagery tells us that our beloved mall staple of yesteryear is ready to turn over a new leaf.

The fresh campaign imagery (which launched today) is so striking, we actually had to do a double take to check out the diverse range of gorgeous body shapes and backgrounds represented. The photos feature models Paloma Elsesser (one of the most sought-after plus-size models in the industry), Jill Kortleve (another plus-size model who made headlines walking designer runways), Taylor Hill, Carolyn Murphy, Mayowa Nicholas, Devyn Garcia, and Aamito Lagum, posing in an array of matching bras and panties from the collection, looking cool, comfortable, and confident to boot.

According to a rep for the brand, Victoria's Secret (or VS) recognizes that "every body is in a constant state of flux, so VS designed this bra to fit and flow with you." This modern collection promises to allow your natural shape to shine through while providing all-day comfort.

While we have yet to try the underpinnings on for ourselves just yet, we sat down with Janie Schaffer, Chief Design Officer of Victoria's Secret Lingerie, to get the scoop on what inspired the new noticeably size-inclusive line of unmentionables.

"Our mission is to keep raising the bar and bringing our customers the most comfortable, functional, beautiful bras. This bra features adaptable technology that has to be worn to be believed. It has an intuitive fit that extends and retracts to adapt to your shape as you fluctuate daily or monthly," Schaffer tells InStyle.

Discerning shoppers should also know that these bras are designed with an innovative gel wire technology that helps the bra maintain shape and structure, while providing support. It promises to feel like next to nothing, comes in eight pretty colors, and is available in sizes 32-38B-DDD, 38G, 40DD-DDD, 42D-DD, 44C-D.

"We have some extremely exciting and beautiful bra collections on the horizon that prioritize comfort while still maintaining support. The Bare Infinity Flex Bra is just the start," Schaffer adds.
