At 6:54 a.m.: The moon is opposite Pluto

In the morning, the Cancer moon opposes Pluto in Capricorn before locking into a T-square with Mercury in Libra. Our unconscious emotions impede our ability to communicate in a rational way. While insults may be levied or accusations made in an effort to defend ourselves, we are really just shadowboxing imagined enemies and swinging blindly. Because we are not clear on the facts, we fight in an attempt to regain control. The irony is that by doubting those around us whose intentions are good, we actually leave ourselves open to being manipulated by people who exploit our fears. The moon begins its void of course following the moon’s square to Mercury, which will last until the evening, so delay important discussions and try to relax. It may even be wise to take a break from social media and doom scrolling to avoid further compounding our anxieties.

At 4:31 p.m.: Venus is square Jupiter

In the late afternoon, Venus in Scorpio squares off with retrograde Jupiter in Aquarius, which can see us taking risks in the name of pleasure. There is an interesting combination of passion and indifference with this transit, the kind that makes us want to “live for the day”. While we are not in an optimistic mood per se, we believe we can avoid the repercussions of excessive behavior. Subsequently, this can be a hedonistic period where we throw caution to the wind, engage in risky sexual behavior, gambling, or drug use. Our attempts to relax and forget our problems are liable to backfire now. We may be living for the day, but once tomorrow comes we’ll regret some of our ill-thought-out decisions.
