Will Smith Has Dangerous Run-In With the Law
Will Smith
Will Smith got into a situation on Friday, March 22, while driving in Malibu, California. The 55-year-old actor was reportedly given a ticket for speeding almost 20 miles per hour over the speed limit on the Pacific Coast Highway, a very dangerous, and sometimes deadly, road due to speeding drivers.
The news of Smith's speeding ticket was shared by TMZ, with law enforcement alleging that the actor was going 63 in a 45 mph zone while driving on Friday morning. They shared no other details about the situation.
The Pacific Coast Highway is known to be a dangerous road, especially in Malibu, with the Los Angeles Times reporting that the city sees more deaths and injuries on the highway than in other areas it goes through. Overall, there have been around 170 deaths and serious injuries between 2011 and 2023 on the PCH to both drivers and those not in vehicles, like pedestrians and bikers.

Smith's speeding ticket is the latest update on the actor since everything came out late last year about his relationship with wife Jada Pinkett Smith as she released her memoir, Worthy.
At the time, many were shocked to hear that the couple had been separated for years but didn't plan to get a divorce, only for another celebrity couple—Meryl Streep and husband Don Gummer—to reveal that they were in a similar situation. Smith touched on his relationship with his wife and the effect of fame at the end of the year, admitting, "I have made tons of mistakes."
As for his acting career, many know that Smith took a major hit after his onstage assault on Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, but he is slowly starting to work again. Currently, Smith has many projects lined up for 2024 and beyond including Bad Boys 4 and I Am Legend 2.
