Sneakerheads, Rejoice: Allbirds Just Launched a Kids' Line (Called Smallbirds, Duh)
For the uninitiated, Allbirds is a cool, super-buzzy brand that makes the most comfortable sneakers in the entire world. (Seriously, they’re wool and they make your feet feel like they’re being hugged by, like, a stuffed animal.)
But why should adults have all the fun? They shouldn’t, which is why Allbirds just launched the adorably named Smallbirds ($55). Basically, they’re the exact same shoes, just tiny. They’re also machine washable, breathable and stretchy for growing feet. The limited-edition line comes in three colorways—blue, red and gray—and is sized for children ages 2 to 4.
On top of all that, Allbirds and Smallbirds are environmentally friendly, made with “green” fabrics and sent to your door in boxes that use 40 percent less material than traditional shoe packaging. Each pair is also ZQ-certified, meaning they meet stringent standards of sustainable farming and animal welfare. (No sheep were harmed in the making of these shoes.)
Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re gonna go buy a pair for every single kid we know.
