Snooki, 33, calls herself a 'Fit Mawma' in ripped gym pic: 'I run to drink wine'
Looks like Snooki’s gone from “Meatball” to fit mom.
The 33-year-old, whose Italian dish-inspired nickname is self-proclaimed and even sells ‘Team Meatball’ merch, shared a photo of herself on Instagram showing off her super-fit body. Pictured doing a handstand in a gym, she captioned the post, “Time to get lean #FitMawma #iruntodrinkwine.”

Fans showered the Jersey Shore star with compliments. “Are you RIPPED?????” one commenter wrote. “It’s the back muscles for me,” another said. “Your back looks so muscular keep it up girl,” someone else encouraged. “Wow that’s you, that’s hard to balance like that, impressed!” one more noted.
So what exactly did Snooki do in order to get in such great shape? Believe it or not, she credits a cookie diet for helping her lose weight.
“I actually noticed that celebrities were taking Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet and I thought, ‘This has got to work,'” Snooki told Access Hollywood. “I eat six cookies a day and then I have like chicken for dinner, or fish.”
Stick with the Cookie Diet, which has followers consume around 1,000 to 1,2000 calories a day, about half of which come from the cookies.
Snooki has been open about her struggle to lose weight while maintaining a healthy lifestyle, as she revealed that she struggled with an eating disorder in high school.
“Cheerleading was my life in high school but it wasn’t always easy for me,” Snooki said while appearing on Dancing With the Stars. “There were these little girls coming up, like freshmen, who were literally, like, 70 pounds. And I was, like, my spot as a flier is going to get taken away. So I ended up starving myself. I started eating one salad a day, and then it became, like, one cracker a day, and then it became just one grape a day. And then just not eating at all for three days. It was a really, really bad time for me.”
Fortunately, Snooki seems to have a healthier relationship with her body as an adult. She said she has changed her approach to her diet and exercise routine, as she no longer focuses on being skinny. She credits becoming a mom as her inspiration to change her focus on strength.
“Everyone works out to be skinny,” Snooki told The Cut. “Everyone should work out to be strong… I want abs, biceps and big muscly legs, that’s my goal. … Ever since I became a mom and saw all these strong, fit moms at the gym, it was inspirational. Skinny isn’t really ‘in’ anymore.”
While Snooki has acknowledged the challenges of staying fit as a parent, she says the birth of the son was what motivated her to take her health more seriously.
“When I had my son, I knew I didn’t want to be an overweight, unhealthy mom,” Snooki, who has three children, said. “I wanted to be a good example, and show [my kids] that eating healthy and working out is fun. I started going to the gym every single day.”
Since giving birth to her first son in 2012, Snooki has made fitness a central part of her life and as her latest photo shows, she’s more committed than ever getting those “abs, biceps, and big muscly legs” she said are her goals.
