Soccer Star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 40, Is Going Viral for His Unorthodox Training Video
If any man proves that age is just a number, it's Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Despite being 40 years old in a career that for most ordinary humans finishes in their mid thirties, he is still going strong and performing at the vey top level for Italian giants AC Milan.
What makes him so special? Well, in a viral video clip the Swedish striker has revealed one of his unorthodox-but-effective training methods. In footage shared to his Twitter page, Ibrahimovic can be seen with his legs wrapped around a boxing bag, while he performs sit-ups in mid air.
The caption simply reads: "Patience," and so far the video has been viewed six million times.
Ibrahimovic's workout footage was posted just a day after his boss at Milan, technical director Paolo Maldini, suggested that the star, who turns 41 in October, is set to sign a new one-year contract.
That would be just reward for a man who, since returning to Milan's San Siro in 2020, has fired 36 goals in 66 games. But just how does Ibrahimovic, who in the past has described himself as “God," keep scoring despite being the wrong side of 40?
Ibrahimovic shared some of the moves he likes to throw into a workout with MH Australia a few years ago. They include:
Exercise Ball Twist
Ab Rollers
Wall Slams With A Medicine Ball
Exercise Ball Twist
High Intensity Battle Ropes
We're not saying these are age-defying exercises, but they certainly seem to work for Ibrahimovic.
