Sofia Vergara is 'blond again' in stunning new selfie

Fans may know her best as a brunette, but Sofia Vergara is in fact a natural blonde. Now she's returning to her roots and lightening her locks ahead of filming Season 17 of America's Got Talent.

"Blond again," the Colombian-born actress, 49, captioned a fresh-faced selfie showing off her (seemingly) sunkissed new 'do courtesy of her longtime hair stylist Kelly Kline. Vergara, who will return for her third season as a judge on the NBC talent competition, appears to be posing in her bathroom while wearing a plunging black camisole top.

Vergara's new look got the "golden buzzer" treatment from fans and friends alike.

"I think it’s amazing but who am I to judge hair," cracked fellow AGT judge Howie Mandel, who is bald, while Elizabeth Hurley, Courteney Cox and co-star Heidi Klum offered likes.

Ironically, the former model has previously shared how having blond hair made it harder to break into acting.

"I’m a natural blonde, like my siblings,” Vergara told Parade in 2011. “When I started auditioning for American acting roles, they didn’t know where to put me. A blond Latina?”

Ultimately, she decided to dye her hair darker.

“The moment I dyed my hair dark, it was, ‘Oh, she’s the hot Latin girl,'” the Modern Family star told Self in 2010. “I loved it. Being brunette toned me down a bit.”
