Sofia Vergara Walks Off 'AGT' Stage After Howie Mandel's Divorce Joke
Sofia Vergara is making it clear she's not interested in what anyone has to say about her divorce.
The America's Got Talent judge walked off the stage on Wednesday, Sept. 13's episode, after colleague Howie Mandel prompted her to spot someone of interest to her in the audience.
The moment came during a break from competition, where Vergara took a seat in a so-called throne made of tater tots—a nod to the season's sponsor, Sonic—as she sat for a polygraph test at the behest of Simon Cowell.
Her fellow judges riled her up, asking her whether she enjoyed her time on AGT or Modern Family more, and if she thought Cowell was "like a sweet puppy."
Finally, Mandel asked, “Do you see anyone in the audience that you’re interested in?”
Vergara did seem to acknowledge that the question was all in good fun, replying in good humor, "That's it!" before removing the arm cuff herself and making her way back to her seat behind the judges' table.
“That’s it!" Terry Crews repeated, adding, "She’s done!”
It's not the first time Mandel has taken shots at the newly single actress, once suggesting one of the show's contestants should chat with Vergara about the bachelor market, but she's just trying to have some fun amid her separation.
She and Joe Manganiello were married for seven years, with the actor filing for divorce earlier this summer, citing irreconcilable differences. As the divorce makes its way through court, Vergara has filed to ensure that the couple's prenuptial agreement will be enforced, permitting her to keep her own assets.
