Solange posts unflattering pic that she calls her 'favorite' selfie

Solange Knowles’s 2014 nuptials have inspired a number of all-white wedding parties, re-creating photos from the star’s wedding. But now, she’s giving fans a look into the superrelatable and more imperfect side of her big day — a nervous breakout.

In an Instagram photo posted on Wednesday, Knowles shared a less than glamorous moment from her wedding day of when she famously broke out in hives. When speaking to Entertainment Tonight about it, mother Tina Knowles said, “[Solange] went through the wedding and the sit-down dinner, and she was just fine, and then they had a second [receiving] line in the streets of New Orleans and she was dancing so hard, I think she just go overheated. And the seafood, I think she had a reaction to it.”

The 31-year-old singer still remembers the day fondly, writing, “my favorite (and most true to myself) selfie.”

The post has received a number of loving remarks from fans who say, “She is a queen no matter what she looks like!” And the superrelatable moment is just another reason that people love her. “Thank you for showing us different parts of your life!” somebody said, while another made sure to mention that she “still made a beautiful bride!” As for some other followers, they’re just concerned about her possible allergies. “My son with peanuts! I stay ready with the Benadryl and epipen!”

It’s evident that Knowles can do no wrong, and allergic reaction or not, she’s beautiful.
