Someone hacked nude photos of The Bachelor's Amanda Stanton, and she's addressing the situation head on
Yesterday, April 2nd, former Bachelor contestant Amanda Stanton took to Instagram to discuss an extremely personal situation—that has unfortunately been made extremely public. Stanton revealed that a hacker gained access to her medical records–specifically photos from her breast augmentation, and has been slowly leaking them to friends and fans.
Stanton explained via Instagram Stories that she received four emails from a random address about three weeks ago. In the emails, the person revealed that they hacked her doctor’s database and obtained her pre-op photos.

Those included on the hacker’s send list were her friend’s boyfriend, coworkers, and producers at ABC.

“It was just kind of out of my control and there was nothing I could do about it, so I figured that I might as well just address it,” Stanton said. “I’ve had a lot of people text me and DM me that they have received the messages from him. I just want to say, thank you, and I’m sorry that I haven’t responded to everybody. It’s just been hard explaining the story so many times and I just don’t want to give somebody like that power over me and I hope that maybe, just by addressing it, that he’ll stop.”
She continued, “Of course, it’s something that I didn’t want out there, but it’s not the end of the world if people see my boobs. But I think I’m just so frustrated and I just feel very violated. I’ve also been harassed every single day. I don’t know what other information this person has. It’s just been kind of exhausting.”

Hours after explaining the situation, Stanton went back onto her Instagram Stories to assure her followers that the authorities have been contacted and are investigating. Stanton is sadly not the first woman to have her private photos leaked online; actresses like Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson have had private and intimate pictures hacked directly from their phones. And despite the fact that all leaked photos are a massive invasion of one’s privacy, Stanton’s hacker truly stooped to a new low by trying to blackmail her with medical photos.
We’re so sorry that Stanton—and any woman—has to deal with this gross invasion of privacy, and we hope the person or persons responsible is found and faces serious legal repercussions.
