Someone in Minneapolis Really Hates Tomi Lahren

This past weekend, Tomi Lahren did what any young conservative contributor is wont to do: She grabbed brunch with her parents in Minneapolis. But it seems she might have picked a poor spot, as one anonymous woman reportedly threw a glass of water at her.

The throwing was said to be unprovoked and apparently some water also got on Lahren's mom. According to TMZ, Lahren confronted the woman, and a staff member ended up escorting Lahren and her family out.

Lahren appeared on Fox and Friends on Wednesday to discuss the "incident." She wrote on Twitter, "I appreciate the words of support- even from those who normally dislike me. Free speech is a gift- no need to resort to that kind of attack."

Lahren said the restaurant goers also started chanting profanity at her, explaining it's something she's "used to" but is still "disheartening."

“At the end of the day, I’m a person too, and I do get humiliated and embarrassed, just like anyone else," she continued. "But I’m tough, my family’s tough, we can handle it... You don’t have to like me, you don’t have to agree with my political opinions, but you don’t have the right to throw things at me.”

President Trump, seemingly acknowledging the incident, tweeted that "everybody is with Tomi Lahren, a truly outstanding and respected young woman!"

While I'm sure Lahren appreciated the president's words of support, if this weekend's event proved anything, it's that this is clearly not the case. At least it wasn't red wine!
