  • New screenshots of James Charles’s private texts and DMs about the Tati Westbrook and SugarBearHair drama just dropped, and they’re a mess.

  • James and Tati are in the midst of a feud, which you can read about over here.

Please settle right in, because the ongoing beauty vlogger drama between James Charles and Tati Westbrook just took a turn for the wildly messy. In case you need a quick refresher, Tati recently hit up YouTube to post an almost hour-long video calling out James for promoting SugarBearHair (hahahahaha), a rival of her own hair supplement brand Halo Beauty.

James ended up posting a tearful apology video to YouTube in response but lost millions of subscribers in the process and had to deal with Jeffree Star calling him a danger to society. And now? Now James’s friend Nikita Dragun has hopped on Twitter with screenshots that *allegedly* prove James’s endorsement of SugarBearHair wasn’t preplanned-it was simply a last-minute deal in order to get some extra Coachella security.

In the texts, James tells Nikita “I am in VIP and getting attacked” and asks her to text SugarBearHair to see if they have any extra passes. But here’s the thing: Tea Spill (a YouTube channel) tweeted some screenshots of their own, with “evidence” that James also claimed SugarBearHair reached out to him-not the other way around.

Tea Spill claims James sent them a text that said, “So I was getting mobbed like crazy and the SugarBear team heard about it from a few influencers that were there and they texted me and were like, ‘Hey, James, we have an extra artist and safari pass for you and a friend if you need to get backstage.’”

They also shared messages from James saying that SugarBearHair asked him to promote them on Instagram Stories, whereas in the conversation with Nikita, it appeared to be his idea to Story.

Honestly, this is all very complicated and I’d like to just take a moment to thank 2019 for truly delivering.
