Sonic is stepping up to the plate this summer with its own take on what seems to be the flavor of the summer: Orange Dreamsicle.
The drive-up joint is debuting its own Orange Cloudsicle Slush Float, and, according to foodie Instagrammer Snackolator, the brand-new beverage, which is made of Orange Cloudsicle-flavored slush mixed with orange vanilla boba, topped with vanilla soft serve ice cream and even more boba for “a true Cloudsicle experience,” is "next level."
It's expected to hit all storefronts sometime this month but, according to the foodstagrammer, most locations already have it in stock, and they can't wait to see how it stands up to its predecessors.
"I hope this tastes similar to the Orange Cream Slush they used to have," one follower crossed their fingers, daydreaming about an old Sonic classic. "It was my absolute favorite ??."
But most were also curious about how it would stand up to other similar products summertime products, particularly Arby's Orange Cream milkshake and Wendy's Orange Dreamsicle Frosty, which debuted earlier this year to much fanfare.
Fans are also looking forward to Taco Bell's sweet summer sips, as the chain starts testing out new "Churro Chillers," which are "swirled with craveable flavor on the inside, filled with a blended sweet shake and topped with a layer of cold foam and churro crumbles," in four different flavors: Mexican Chocolate, Dulce de Leche Coffee, Wild Strawberry and Sweet Vanilla.
Taco Bell customers can also look forward to seven other menu additions: Big Cheez-It Supreme and Tostada, Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato, Cinnabon Dulce de Leche Delights, Chicken Nuggets, Cheesy Street Chalupas, and Chicken and Steak Enchilada Grilled Cheese Dipping Tacos.
