New Sonny’s BBQ restaurant now open in Gonzales, serves beef, ribs, pork and more

GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) – A new barbecue restaurant softly opened in Gonzales this week.

Sonny’s BBQ opened at 781 W. Louisiana 30 on Monday, July 15. The restaurant announced on social media that it would be serving in-person guests and would not be taking orders over the phone or online at this time.

Sonny’s BBQ menu includes the classic BBQ bowl with pulled pork piled on mac and cheese and BBQ beans. It is topped with coleslaw, onion straws and sweet BBQ sauce.

The menu also has appetizers such as BBQ pork egg rolls, loaded tots and smoked wings. Signature BBQ options include beef brisket and St. Louis ribs.

Sweet treats include cinnamon sugar donut holes, banana pudding and chocolate chip cookies.

This is the second location to open in Louisiana. The other is at 12475 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge.
