Sophia Bush Files to Divorce Grant Hughes After Just Over 1 Year of Marriage
Sophia Bush has reportedly filed for divorce from husband Grant Hughes, whom she married just a little over one year ago.
The news was confirmed by PEOPLE on Friday, Aug. 4, the same day the One Tree Hill alum, 41, reportedly filed divorce papers.
"Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service," a source close to the couple told the outlet. "They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends."
The former couple—who co-created the Bush Hughes Foundation for Progress—tied the knot just last summer, saying their vows in a romantic ceremony in Hughes' home state of Oklahoma.

Just weeks ago, Bush and Hughes celebrated their first wedding anniversary, with both parties taking to Instagram to celebrate the occasion at the time.
Bush's post, however, appears to have been removed from her page. According to PEOPLE, the since-deleted post read, "Today marks 365 days of calling you 'husband,'" alongside a black and white photo from their wedding day.
"Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic," she wrote at the time. "Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favorite. Happy Anniversary."
Hughes also shared a tribute to Bush at the time, in a post that is currently still live on his IG page, as of writing.
"Happy 1st Anniversary, my love! ????," he wrote in part, next to a series of sweet snaps with Bush. "What a full, beautiful, dynamic, exciting, growth-filled year we’ve had together. I truly love doing life with you!"

At the time, Bush commented on the post, writing, "Multitudes my babe ??."
So far, neither Bush nor Hughes has commented publicly on the news, though the Good Sam actress has since removed the name "Hughes" from her Instagram profile.
