Kit Harington and Sophie Turner, co-stars on Game of Thrones, reunited at the 2019 Emmy Awards and shared a sweet hug during the ceremony.
Harington was nominated in the Lead Actor category while Turner was nominated for Supporting Actress.
The two actors, along with other GoT co-stars, presented the award for Lead Actress in a Limited Series.
If there's a Game of Thrones-shaped hole in your heart, let the reunions at tonight's Emmy Awards patch it right up. To be specific, let this very pure, very happy moment between Kit Harington and Sophie Turner patch it right up. The GoT co-stars, who star as half-siblings-turned-cousins Jon Snow and Sansa Stark, had a sweet exchange during tonight's ceremony at L.A.'s Microsoft Theater.
Amidst the chaos, the two actors found each other in the venue and shared an endearing hug. Turner even held Harington's face in her hand and, according to some fans, told him he looked "so handsome." (We don't disagree!)
GoT viewers pointed out the parallels between the heartwarming moment and Jon and Sansa's scenes in the HBO fantasy series.
Turner was nominated for Best Supporting actress—along with Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Gwendoline Christie, and Killing Eve's Fiona Shaw—but lost to Julia Garner of Ozark. Meanwhile, Harington is nominated for the Lead Actor title, competed against Jason Bateman (Ozark), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), and Milo Ventimiglia, (This Is Us), but lost to Billy Porter (Pose).
The duo joined forces with other GoT stars—including Headey, Williams, Christie, Alfie Allen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, and more—on the Emmys stage to present award for Lead Actress in a Limited Series.
