Gwyneth Paltrow just wore the cozy Spanx sweater that Oprah said feels like 'buttah'
When one celeb wears something that looks incredibly comfortable, we take notice, but when two wear the same cozy piece — we must have it! Case in point: After we recently saw Gwyneth Paltrow wear the Spanx AirEssentials Half Zip sweater that Oprah once described as feeling like “buttah,” we knew it was time to add to cart.
The color is Butterscotch. The fit, comfort and celeb-inspired cachet? Delicious!
Oprah first declared her love of the athleisure piece in her 2022 Favorite Things List. “You might know Spanx for its shapewear, but it also does fantastic cozy clothes. When I tell you this set feels light as air, I’m not kidding. It’s my new leisure suit. The perfectly loose-and-lightweight fabric is like buttah,” she said.
While she normally wears her half-zip with the matching AirEssentials bottoms, Gwyneth took a more sporty approach in her styling. The actress paired her sweater with the brand's best-selling Booty Boost leggings, which have a celeb following of their own — Kourtney Kardashian, Jennifer Garner and Kristen Bell are all fans.
The AirEssentials Half Zip is made from a breathable four-way stretch material that is silky smooth against your skin. It hits right at the hip and has the half-zip zipper allows you to show as much cleavage as you want. Hundreds of shoppers rave about how comfortable it is and how the versatile piece goes with practically everything in their wardrobe.
“It’s perfect for a relaxed look without looking frumpy. It is very versatile if you want to dress it up or down. It’s great for running errands, shopping and travel,” raved one. Another said it was the “softest material ever” before adding, “I bought as a travel outfit along with the tapered pants. I'm in love and I never want to take it off.”
The topper comes in six colors that are perfect for fall and winter – black, green, white, maroon, navy and butterscotch (which Gwyneth wore), and it's size-inclusive too, ranging from XS to 3XL. At $128, it’s definitely pricey for a loungewear top, but the fact that it’s comfortable, versatile and celeb-approved makes it well worth the price.
Meet the next head-turning piece in your wardrobe, ready for morning jog to evening hang and every event in between.
