Here are the new special shape balloons to look for at the 52nd Balloon Fiesta
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has announced this year’s new special shape balloons. This year’s event will include 16 new shapes, adding up to 106 special shapes in total.
The 52nd annual Balloon Fiesta will take place October 5 to 13. Below is a list of the new special shapes:
Macaw Red
Macaw Blue
Météo
Police Dog
Barx
Mazu
Hunter, The Fox
Capitao Caverna
D-Ohtb
Frank Boy
Turtle
Churro
Candy House
The Brain
Zozobra
Duke City Reid Mix
This year, the new special shape balloons will also share the air with the event’s first-ever pilot from North Macedonia. Borche Paunovki will be flying the pink Gnome balloon. The special-shaped weather balloon called Météo also has meteorological features. There will also be a nod to the New Mexico tradition with a new Zozobra balloon.
Alongside the new special shapes will be many favorites: Airabelle the Creamland Cow, Darth Vader, Master Yoda Balloon, Montie the Black Sheep, Allycorn and many others. For a full list of special shape balloons, click here.
