Speechless at What Netflix Is Paying Henry Cavill for ‘The Witcher’ Season 2

The Witcher season 2 is currently streaming on Netflix, and apparently the streaming giant paid a lot of money to get Henry Cavill to come back after the show’s massively popular debut.

According to Variety, Henry was paid $400k per episode for The Witcher season 1, which ends up being $3.2 million for the eight-episode season. But clearly, Henry negotiated with Netflix for season 2, because his new per episode salary is more than double. In a profile for the Hollywood Reporter (which speculates that Henry could land the role of James Bond), the actor’s new Witcher salary is revealed by sources who say he just signed a new deal paying more than $1 million per episode.” Season 2 also has eight episodes, which comes to a cool $8 million.

Psst: On top of The Witcher, Henry is working on Highlander, Enola Holmes 2, and a spy thriller called Argylle. As he told the Hollywood Reporter, “Something has changed, something has shifted. After 21 years of hard work, I have three jobs lined up. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s my approach, maybe my value as a commodity increases being attached to things like The Witcher. Now I can really focus on the storytelling and grow from here.”
